Sick Heifer

Just had a heifer finish calving and now she’s laying down unable to get up. She was up and walking yesterday with the new calf but something went wrong today. Vet can’t get out until tomorrow afternoon. Any insight on what might be wrong?

I'm not much help here. Vet may be the best idea. Make sure she has drink and a bite to eat in mean time..

Pinched nerve, low calcium, slipped on the ice/mud/whatever . . . . could be a lot of things. And agree, make sure she has food, water & bedding until the vet comes out.
