my question is about my calves.it rained the other day then got cold with some windy condition now my calves have dry noses and some have mucus in their noses.i have given them shots of la 200.need some help,is there something else i can do because it doesn't seem to be working.

Yup...contact your vet and ask if he/she would sell you something better than LA200...something prescription...like Nuflor...

LA200 has it's place, but not for respiratory stuff...no any more.

thanks alice.their noses a dry too, does it help with preventing pneumonia.they are breathe a little heavy and not has chiper but are eating.

Yes it does help. At this point I would guess you are not preventing, but treating. You should give calves an anti inflammatory drug as well as antibiotic. Vet can set you up woth what you will need. A shot of vitamin would help out, kind of a boost. I don't know whats in it, ours is mixed locally by the vets. Time is of the essence from my experience. They are hard to pull back after a certain point, its a good thing yours are still eating. Good Luck!!

Angie is absolutely correct. And, one thing to never, ever forget...when you give antibiotics, give probios...or something of the same thing (a probiotic).
