Sheep question

Does anyone know whether grass seed, clover seed, and rye seed, etc goes through a sheep's digestive system whole? Does a sheep reseed seeds that it ingests or does it digest them?

I'm guessing they would, since the seeds are small and don't get broken down as easily if they were crushed, so they'd go through the system whole, and I wouldn't be surprised if they do germinate after going through the sheep's digestive system, the seeds that don't get crushed by the animal's molars.

There are a few weed seeds that will make it thru viable-- but they make it thru cattle too.

Let me rephrase my question. Could sheep be beneficial in speading seed in a pasture? Will the seed be useful after passing through the sheep?

NO

But they are real good at stomping in seeds(if the ground gets wet) after you broadcast them.
