I bought a used driver and I'm checking it out with the manual. I have never use one myself. Anyway, there is a set of rubber bumpers at the top and bottom of the driver. What do they do? The bottom pair are missing and the plate that they mount to was badly bent downward. Put the plate in a 70 ton press and straightened it out. I am getting 2 new bumpers but am curious what would cause the 3/8" plate to get bent. Thanks for any help.
