We have had 3 calves become very sick, very fast...seemingly
born healthy, but after 2 or 3 days, they become lethargic,
stop nursing, and finally die even though we've forced milk
down them. We're having the water tested and have changed
feed for the cows. Any thoughts?

Have you had a vet do a post on the dead ones? Or contacted a vet about the ones you have left? I think that there is a wealth of information on the boards, but everyone is going to ask for more details.

It sounds like selenium deficiency. I would check with the county extension office and my vet about selenium deficiency.

How about a list of any other symptoms...as well as any and all medications, etc you've given the calves before or after symptoms arise, and in addition to tubing them with milk.
