This is a true story, from the Orange County, Florida Sheriff's office...

An elderly Florida lady did her shopping and, upon returning to her car, found four males in the act of leaving with her vehicle. She dropped her shopping bags and drew her handgun, proceeding to scream at the top of her voice, "I have a gun, and I know how to use it! Get out of the car!" The four men didn't wait for a second invitation. They got out and ran like mad.

The lady, somewhat shaken, then proceeded to load her shopping bags
into the back of the car and got into the driver's seat. She was so shaken that she could not get her key into the ignition. She tried and tried, and then it dawned on her why. A few minutes later, she found her own car parked four or five spaces farther down.

She loaded her bags into the car and drove to the police station.. The sergeant to whom she told the story couldn't stop laughing. He pointed to the other end of the counter, where four pale men were reporting a car jacking by a mad, elderly woman described as white, less than five feet tall, glasses, curly white hair, and carrying a large handgun.

No charges were filed.

If you're going to have a Senior Moment, make it a memorable one!

That is a good one.

A few years back we were at one of my daughter's HS basketball games and my mother-in-law needed something out of her car. She handed me her keys and asked me to go get it. I asked where she was parked and she said, "right by your truck." She drove one of those little Japanese go-carts that was white. I was sitting there trying and trying to get her key to open the door when I heard, "What the heck are you doing....." from a very mad rather big fellow. It was his car. I was out in this huge overfilled parking lot on a very dark night all by myself trying to "splain it." Looking around there were about 7 of those type cars in the proximity of my truck. I had to go back in the gym and hand her the keys and tell her I couldn't find her car.

Lived in Florida for a number of years. We had a good freind stop at a bar one evening with a bunch of us and have a few drinks. She had a few more than we realized. Got up and left and we didn't think anything about it untill we heard a comotion outside and went to see what was going on. She had went outside and got in her backseat and thought someone had stole her steering wheel. She then called the cops to report it stollen sitting in the backseat of her car. They arrived and found her sitting there and did not ticket her because she was in the backseat. They did drive her home and give ger to her husband though. She has never lived this down.
