right now id say hes about 2000lbs give or take..idk..just a number

right now slaughter bulls bring 1.25

special bull slaughter sale in dec....

prices be better or worse in dec at the special sale? never been to one of those so idk .

i wouldnt be buying a bull there..just selling. sales like that typically bring more or less to the seller

It seems hard for me to think that slaughter bull prices are going to go up more than they are, though our prices are higher than yours it seems. I took mine to the regular sale yesterday. Lots of bulls this time of year, 43 I think it was yesterday. I think they averaged around the mid 130s cwt, mine went for 142.50 cwt at 1920 lbs. Maybe they’ll go up, but I was plenty happy with what I got. Not to mention, he’s not eating my grass anymore and I don’t have to worry about him getting a whiff of one of the neighbor’s cows and getting a wild hair.
 
I would sell now. Bulls eat a lot and I seriously doubt the price will increase enough to make up for the feed he will between now and December. If he is already weighing 2,000 pounds you probably aren't going to get much gain either.
