Seed *NIGHTMARE*

We have just got a beehive last year, and we thought "hey, we have this 1/2 acre plot of land that's open that we aren't going to use for anything else... Lets plant Phacelia there for the bees"

Phacelia is a great plant for the bees since it has a very long flowering season and the bees love it...

Anyhow, we figured we should get about 5 lbs of seed for the plot we have, and I searched and found a local seed house that had it by the pound.. $48 /lb.. I though I'd hold off, and kept on looking... Came across one in Texas and they had it for $10 /lb, OK.. place the order, next day I get an email saying they don't ship outside of the US... So why in tarnation do they list shipping rates and have other countries in their fancy 'shopping cart' website... OK, continue looking, NO ONE ships outside of the US.

Go back and phone the local guys saying.. "Look, can you be at least *close* to competitive?"... the moron on the end of the line looked at his computer screen and just said "it's $48 /lb"... try and shop local and that's where it gets you.

Go back to google, get to about page 5, and... lo and behold... I can get it through AMAZON... a seed farm has a store there, they had 4 lbs for $17/lb, which, granted is a lot more than the other guys, but it *seems* like I'm not getting an email saying they can't ship.

I don't if Nichols Garden Nursury ships to Canada, but being a lot closer you might try them.

I'll keep both of those in mind, we're going to be planting Borage as well, but not this year, thanks for the tips

Thanks for volonteering :P I did finally find a company that would ship... we might deal with Everwilde Farms again, they seem to be up to snuff... there was the result of a recent germination test, the packaging was good, etc
