I would say by looking at this one picture, he would be in the 2 1/2 year old range, he still has that telltale sleek doe like head and a light front quarters.

I would have estimated this buck at 4 1/2 years. His nose hasn't started to curve that much yet and he doesn't appear to have that much of a pot belly.

Those are some great pictures. Some of those younger bucks show some awesome potential! I can see by the pictures of your older deer that the genetics are definitely there. Do you live in the hill country?

No I don't live in the hill country....SE Texas....The reason I say that the 10 point is 5 1/2yrs old is because last year he displayed the age of a 4 1/2 year old....here is a pic of last year AND the year before

LAST YEAR

YEAR BEFORE (2006)These is the best pictures I have of him

Well, now that I look at the pics I suppose he did look like a 3 1/2 year old last year....but I hope he will give me more pics this year so I can get a better "guesstimate" of how old he is

Not on parr with the other pics, but I was sure glad to see this old boy this year. I had hunted him for 4 years and the last I saw of him last year he was being run by a pack of dogs. Couldn;t get at shot at either him or the dogs. Last year he was a strange looking 9 point, the years beofre a very normal looking 9 point. Looks like his days are numbered, only hope it's me that gets to end them.

Those are some good looking bucks... I saw two around my place the other evening while out checking my cattle. One was a small 4 point, the other was probably at least a 9 or 10 point big one. I cant wait....
