Anyone live around there? How is the lake fishing during the winter?

I'd check out lake Konawa and Broken Bow. Not sure how the fishing is right now.

Worked in Okmulgee(sp) which is north of I-40 during January and Feburary a few years ago and they were catching a lot of fish that year. Lots of catfish especially.

I'm not a big lake fisherman myself, but Sardis Lake and Broken Bow Reservioir (Beavers Bend state park) are supposed to be great as soon as water temp gets rightwhich may be delayed with the snow and cold rains we have been getting (I'm in AR, but just a few miles from SE OK). Broken Bow is known well for brownies, Sardis for the crappie and large mouth. Catfish good in both, better in Sardis.
