I am looking at buying a bull with a 41.5 yearling scrot measurment. I know anything below 35 I don't want but what are the pros and cons to a over 40 scrot measurment
I've heard from one who doesn't want anything out of the 38 to 40 range. Other wise it's an extreme.
But I've also heard of bulls that have a 33-34 throw 2000 straws of semen in a couple of collections. Maybe the bigger the SC the better potence isn't always the case.
I read where the SC was an indicator of the fertility in the heifers he produced. Now that I read greenwillowherefords, I understand a bit more. But would someone please explain the theory on this.
