For you Hereford breeders that previously inquired about LFF Schurable his first calf arrived today. It was a heifer and her birth weight was 80 pounds, she is from the mature cow P42386980. I am very pleased with the calve's markings and if the rest of Schurables calves are similar to the first one I should have a nice group this year. :D

I remember the bull. Schular 5N son, right? Any chance we can get some pictures ;-) . Good luck on the rest of your crop!

Sorry for the delay in getting the pictures. I hope that I can get them to transfer correctly, if not they are in the photo section.

That calf looks nice! Schurable is turning out very well. Can't remember, did you get him collected?

Thanks. I like her small head and 80 pounds from the 24N cow is good compaired to her previous calves.

Schurable has been approved for AI use by the Hereford Association by verification of DNA test for linage. I am trying to get in contact with Wesley Kniple of Cottage Farms to collect and store a small supply for myself, however I am having a difficult time making contact with him. If anyone knows somebody that is close to western Kentucky that collects bulls , I would certainly like to contact them. I am also looking for a Hereford appoved ultasound tester.

Schurable is still growing and is a moderate frame bull that should work well with heifers. I have some heifers bred to him that will be calving soon and that should help me decide if I want to sell semen from him. If I have people interested in using him that will also be a plus for having him collected.

What makes the calf a prodigy? Can it do math that other calves it's age can;t, play chess, maybe understand quantum physics?

Dun I used the wrong word in the title. I do like the definintion of the word , it would be nice if it was correct. :)

Definition for prodigy
- somebody with exceptional talent: somebody who shows an exceptional talent at an early age
- something marvelous: something very impressive or amazing
