Today we were getting the water running down the irrigation ditch. One of the guys commented that with this lock down going on he was saving money. Nothing but home cooked meals for the last 6 weeks. Said his wife hadn't cooked this much in years. It is also 30 miles one way to the nearest restaurant so he is also saving on fuel. Several of us offered to inform his wife of this. But he was very clear that it would not be necessary.
We got finished right at noon. Another guy said he was going home for lunch. We told him that we could call his wife and tell her that he was on his way and expected to have lunch on the table waiting for him when he got home. He also declined out offer. We were just trying to be helpful to these guys and they turn down our offers????
