if you are trying to minimize the chance for disease, besides shots, what else would you recommend?
is there something that you can spray all over the barn on regular basis that would disinfect the place?
getting the cows out while is done, it's ok, but i would prefer something that doesn't have to be flushed/washed down with lot of water, so i can just spray the place, and when it is dry i can let the cows go back without making them feel itchy when they come in contact with the sprayed surfaces.
also, what is the best fly/mosquito/bug control method?
what is the basic heath kit that i should have for cows in case of emergency, in case something goes wrong?
to give cows shots, what kind of syringe do you recommend? i was working on a hog farm a few years back, and they had some kind of semi-automatic thing. it had to be set so it pushes the right amount, but you could give 10 shots without refilling it. what is the brand that you recommend?
just in case, you get the water for the cows from a river, or a source that can not be said for sure that it is ok, it is drinkable, what can be done? what should be added to the water? is there some sort of device that automatically adds that "something" to the water, killing all the germs in it? does it worth dealing with it? or it is better just to forget about it, reach deep into the pocket and get a crew out there to dig a well?
