safe for cows?

Of Course! Where do you think we get bread cows from!

Just don't feed em any "inbread" or " linebread" unless you know what you are doing!

Bread, doughnuts, honeybuns, tater chips, cucumbers are all treats they love. But whatever you do, don't feed em peanut butter in large quantities - they love it so much they will die for it. :dunce:

I've got one that loves pecans. Start cracking a few open for your personal pleasure and this one can hear you from a mile away. She comes running to help you eat them.... :D

I had a GSP that was like that with peanuts. But she only liked the shells not the nuts. I'ld give her the whole thing and wipe the slobber off the nuts and eat them. Every chance she got she'ld go through the truck and vacuum up the shells on the floor.

Probably won't hurt anything, but anytime you change feed or add something it messes up the bugs in the rumen.

Rumen bugs don't have a massive dieoff everytime you give a cow a piece of bread or a few peanuts. Now if you give her a 5 gallon bucket full everyday they may have to do some adjusting. Peanuts hulls are used as roughage sources in some feeds.

Have a fairly close neighbor that feeds around 100-150 loaves of bread per day to his 40-50 cows.

They are fat and sassy.

I've got a couple that will literally push the fence down to get to you if you have bread. The others don't seem to know what it is. I think honeybuns are her favorite. She must have a sweet tooth.

What is a GSP?
I did a google search and came up with Generalized System of Preferences, and couldn't figure out how that could slobber or vacuum. :)

Lightbulb just went on in my head!!!!! I now understand vacuum!!!!!!! I was thinking Hoover or Eureka.
I was thinking GSP refered to girlfriend or something, but since I thought you had been married for eons, I didn't think that was allowed.

We have a Cairn terrier that will crack open the shells and just eat the nuts and a Lab that comes along and eats the shells and anything else laying around including tree bark.
