Grounds so damp decided to disc up my feeding area for hay and brewers grain. I think I will plant oats and ryegrass maybe crimson clover too until the fall. This area is sandy.

Looks good, I bet that would grow a good garden after feeding on it. Somethings grow good in sandy soil.

planting this late why not plant summer annuals....
pearl millet, buckwheat, cowpeas, fox tail millet, etc

rye grass and crimson clover are going to wither out in summer heat....

thanks I been feeding on it for a few years and discing it in it grows a bumper crop of peanuts for sure it was a peanut field. I think its funny how the calves go crazy over fresh dirt running and bucking and pawing it

never planted buckwheat or cow peas do they do well in sandy soil?
