I was wondering what calving season do most people use in the south east.

I am currently leaning towards going to all spring calving, I do like the fact that there is better forage for the cows and calves and the weather is much better and should reduce health issues.

i like spring calving myself the only thing i dislike is the adjustment from hay to lush pasture period. as far as health goes i havent seen a dime's worth of difference around here.

March calving should be perfect, except the bulls will be breeding in May-June which will be hot.

Thing I like about March calving is Ryegrass/Clover and NOT feeding mommas all winter when calves are sucking.
