Looking to plant some rye grain for some winter pasture. be located in eastern kansas. When would you guys plant this? it will be in wheat stubble. we usually do some winter wheat pasture but was wanting to try some rye. have heard of people mixing in turnips for more grazing in the fall. would that be good idea or would the rye be just fine?
Thanks

Plant it like you would wheat. As for the turnips, they will give you some early grazing and then the cold will take them out.
