A steer calf has gotten really "in my face" lately. He'll come right on up to me and just shove me out of the way. I'll give him a good whack on the nose but it makes him angrier. Had him checked by a vet, he's perfectly healthy. I'm worried about this behavior getting dangerous as he gets older. He's not a young calf, either. He's pretty strong.
Time to butcher? if so, is there any special way to butcher cattle or is it similar to chickens and turkeys (not the killing method, obviously that's different, but the handling of the meat)?
