At the Brisbane Show last week, here are the results.
Interbreed Pair. Charolais from the Palgrove Stud
Interbreed Bull. Angus (Sire;CS Future Direction)
second. Charolais
third. Santa Gertrudis
Interbreed Female. Charolais
second. Shorthorn
third. Limousin
The Angus bull weighed 1260 kgs
He is a class bull who looks like he will go onto win all the top Royal Show accolades this year. He's off to Melbourne Royal next month, has now won Brisbane and won at Sydney earlier this year. He was also champion at the Beef Expo in Victoria earlier this year. His eye muscle area was 146 square centimetres which is excellent. Usually Limmos,Blondes Euro breeds score like that and sometimes South Devons too.
Champion lead steer on the hoof was a Charolais,he sold for $27 a kilogram made $12,096.
The butcher will be selling that steer for a long time now.
