Roundup

When we were little my brother and I got sling shots for Xmas. My dad was feeding cattle and we were sitting in the truck. We found his change in the ash tray and started shooting cows in the butt with it as they waked by the truck. He finally saw us and ripped us pretty good. We had started with the pennies, then went to nickles, etc. Luckily he caught us before we hit his quarters. We definitely took some pennies out of circulation that day. 😄

I like to imagine years from now some one finding all that "ancient currency" in that pasture and some archeologist excavating the area trying to explain why it was there. 🤣

Love the story. My house sets where a church was for over a hundred years. A family member came by with his money finder, and I remembered where the old outhouses were and a big mulberry tree was in the front yard of the church. He found some old coins at the out houses I guess were people dropped their drawers and lost. Also, around that old Mulberry tree, that is gone, from where people hunkered down BSing in front of the church. He had no luck anywhere else.

There's an old stone structure in Washoe Valley, Nevada that was once a place people would go to sell their gold. An assayer's office? I've often wondered if the dirt beneath where the floor boards once were, and at the front door stoop, might have some dust or coin.
