Has anyone ever fed there cattle winter rye that a farmer has sprayed round up on so they can plant beans or corn or whatever... There was a farmer who was cutting fields of this rolling it for his cattle. Is that even safe? He just started cutting it once it started turning brown. I told him I didn't think it was a good idea whats everyones take on this?

No problem, we used to do it all the time around here. He doesn't even need to wait until it starts turning brown, three days after spraying should be soon enough to start cutting. Roundup isn't toxic to animals, I wouldn't hesitate to feed that to my cattle.

Well I learned something new. I will start doing that since my friends farm 900 acres of soybeans I can do the same with there winter rye.
