Roping practice *pic*

I was helping the wife prepare dinner when I heard Sam helping in the living room. Ran in there and my 2 year old son had decided to practice his roping.

I had to rope 2 calves out in the pasture today, on foot, to steer em. First one was a piece of cake, 2nd one took about 15 throws because he saw what happened to the other one and wanted no part of it. Can't say I blame him. Btw..calves kick like a sob when roped up and a cherrio bout to be put round their parts.
Anyway..looks like your kid has better roping skills than I do!

KT the boy is eat up with tractors. He carries around a "tractor house" magazine everywhere he goes. When he wears it out we go and get another one. Most two year olds want to read kid books. He wants you to read Tractor House and tell him what each model is called. :lol: beats all I ever seen.

It's right in front of the dog. :D

He is on a horse 3-4 days a week, not by himself yet.

U need to take him to Tulsa to the farm show in December. I think 8-10 maybe. Or even better bring him east to Louisville,KY in Feburary to the National Farm Machinery Show.

That would be a great idea, if we could convince Jed and Brad to come now that would be a good time.

No reason they cant come Larry. They got the crops in and only 700 calves to watch and heck they are grazing wheat so no excuses.

Iso, that is exactly what Little HOSS does. He goes through Tractor House magazines and picks out what tractors he wants to buy. He will wear one out completely and we have to get him a new one at CO-OP. He has the type and make of tractors memorized and can identify them. He also has a construction training DVD of some guy going from one piece of heavy equipment to the other and demonstrating how to operate it. He watches it almost every night on his portable DVD player while lying in bed. He will fall asleep with it playing. He can tell you what every button, lever and gauge is for on a bulldozer, track loader, tractor, backhoe and trackhoe. We have to hide the tractor keys because we are afraid he will try to drive it. He has the operating sequence memorized and when he rides with me he has to instruct me on the proper way to work the gears and manipulate the loader. He is my "operator" of the hydraulic lever in my dump truck. Here he is ready to help in the dump truck.

good pictures,, whats with the square toed boots lately seem to be the fad ... plus here all the younger kids are wearing their jeans tucked in their boots.......i was doing that before it was cool :cowboy:

Those are some great pics! You guys need to teach those kids how to trade used equipment. That's what my wife's dad did and he taught my BIL. It's made him quite a nice living.

Oh, and I only tuck my jeans in my boots when it's muddy.

I don't know but the only way you would see me in a pair is if the undertaker puts them on me.
