He was hilarious! Especially when paired with Harvey Korman in many of the Mel Brooks films. Loved the character he played in the Smokey and the Bandit movie with the elephant.

Years ago I worked for a retired school teacher that had him in her first grade class. She said he was the class clown and funniest kid in the school even at that age.
