Has anyone ever seen RFD TV? I don't have satellite at home but was cooking for dove hunters in hunting camp this past weekend and when I had time to take a little break I turned on the TV and flicked through some channels and came across RFD TV. I watched a couple programs about farming practices, a registered hereford show and a new farming inventions program. I left it on while I prepared the evening meal and there was a program with old music from Bob Wills and others and then another with 70's country music.

Of course when the hunters came in it was back to football.

ive been watching it for over a yr.i can sitt here an watch livestock sales an horse sales.an i love it you need to get dish sat so you can watch it.scott

Yeah, it was really interesting and informative. I might look into getting satellite just for that channel. Just didn't know anything was available on TV like that anymore.

Of course, I only have time to watch TV 3 or 4 hours in a week and thats usually just to get a glimpse of the weather during news hour with my day job, after work chores and taking care of hunting camp on weekends. So I don't know if it'd be worth the expense.

Just a girl,

Thanks for posting the website. WOW, what a really good variety of great programs! That's it! I'm calling my local satellite company. My luck, the basic plan won't include this channel and I'll have to pay for all those extras, but I'm definitely gonna check into it.

RFD is standard with both Dish and Directv.

I'm not sure what a "Polka Show" consists of but I might like it. My maternal grandparents were Alsatian. They could dance up a storm to about anything including Polkas. They squared danced until they were in their 70's. They knew how to have fun!

Well, I never watched a whole show but they play Polka music and I can't stand it if it ain't Toby Keith or Alan Jackson. Don't know if they dance around or not. You make like it. All I can say is for me it has to be the worse show on the channel. JMHO

Flaboy, I have to agree with you 100%.

Growing up we went to Granma's & Granpa's every Sunday and they had Lawrence Welk on the TV. I hated it back then and I couldn't watch a whole show now, but I like a little nostalgia every now and then to remind me of the "good ole days".

Lawrence Welk and Jack LaLane(sp) exercise program...omg I hated those.......
I do enjoy the RFD-TV channel tho...most of the time. I dont however watch the polka shows.
And I too seem to catch the last of a good show.....grrrrr
I like the cattle show. But can't seem to remember half the time when it's on. Mr Lilly either has it on spike tv or a hot rod buildin show most of the time

RFD is going to soon have another network,Farmer's Almanac TV, in the near future they are going to launch it.RFD does have some "waste of space" programming, but I think it was high time for someone to start a network that has something geared to our lifestyles.
