I have a new pasture where the native unimproved reed canary has moved out of the low ground and into ajoining clay based plow ground. Is there a high quality seed mix that will be able to maintain a long term stand after you renovate ground that currently contains reed canary (and its seed)?

I realize that grazing reed canary with short rest periods weakens it, but I have new seen it give up.

Might be kinda hard to put a seed mix with it because of its vigorous growth. Unless you seed it with a legume or grass that has capability to establish and grow quickly, you might have troubles with competition.

My two cents.
