I have 6 hefiers I'm keeping for replacements, they are 10 - 11 months old.
At six months old I gave them their vacs. Triangle 9 + type II , wormed.
One of them has started to pass this off colored manure, looks a little bloody.
What would be a good guess and a treatment? Not ready to go to Vet, yet.
I did a search on BVD, not really sure it's that.

When I was raising bottle babies, that color of diarrhea would make me think Coccidiosis...but that was bottle babies...

Just a thought,

Alice

Another thought...if you can get a sample of it, take to the vet for analysis. That way you'll know if you need to treat it, and with what, w/o having the vet out or hauling the calf in.

Do a search on coccidiois on this site. It has been covered many times, that will tell you what you want to know. Your local vet will have what you will need to treat.
