Red Brahama Heifer

Ok is there anyone on here that lives close San Antonio Texas that sells red brahamas. I am in need of a red brahama heifer. My son that just left for Iraq wants one.

This is my son John. He's unpacking his things here at the house a week before leaving.
Anyway,if anyone knows of someone that raise them or anything please let me know. I told him I will do my best to find him one. Thanks

I would recommend Detering Brahmans in Hempstead. Its a little drive, but the owner, Will Detering, is one of the best to work with. Has great animals too. Check his website http://www.liendo.org/detering.html and let me know if your interested, I can give you his phone number and email.

Of course, dont just look at one place, go to http://www.brahman.org and click breeders, and look for some around your area. Find any in your area and contact them to set up a time to look at the animals. Compare prices and narrow the choices down.

I bought a heifer from Detering and I worked there over the summer, so I would recommend them. Let me know if thats who you want to go with, I can give you his cell number and email.

Thanks TX I looked at their web site. They have some very nice looking animals. All of their info was there. I am trying to find some in my area and most of the ones that use to raise them. Have changed to something else. But I will keep them in mind.

Thank you , What a kind jesture. Although,it's nice of you to offer. My son would never accept an animal without paying for it. He would tell you himself its my job doing what I do.
I will keep looking until I find one to buy. The couple of ranchers I did get to talk to Had none for sale at this time. But I have some great friends that are looking.
