Finally got a decent picture of our new Red Angus herd sire, we bought him last fall, he's 2 years old. Baldie Maker - this is the one that was in my avatar that we bought from LSF.

We just got him back this past week from the Montana Genex (the other owners had semen drawn for distribution and in herd use). So he is in a pen behind the calving barn until the cows go to pasture next week.

The theory behind purchasing him was to increase the WW and YW epds and give some additional length to our cows while maintaining depth and thickness. We'll find out if he does that next year...

I think it's too cold up here for them. Plus we run a purebred herd.
