This is PIE Accelerator 4028
Reg. # 979303
The first photo was taken a week after we pulled him from 50 cows. He was 19 months old for the photo.

The second photo was also taken about a week after we pulled him from 60 cows. He was around 2 1/2 years old for the photo.

He is a little shrunk up in the middle and flank area, but I think he looks great for breeding this many cows and going through one of the worst droughts in history for our area. What I like is his style and the thickness in his rear.

I like him too. Nice numbers. Was he crept fed before and/or after weaning. Looks like he would work on my girls. Are you going to collect from him?

I should have told you, during his first and second breeding season, about 15 of his cows were AI'd once, so I would guess that 10 of them were bred by AI. The rest were bred by him naturally.

He was with about 60 head this summer, and then this fall, we AI'd our 50 fall cows and he cleaned up on them as well.

He is collected, we have about 500 units on him. Just got him home from the stud this week. We took him 1 1/2 weeks ago and he was jumped twice. First time he did not freeze, second time he froze 227 units, and we alread had about 275 on hand.

We sold about 300 units of semen on him last year, so between our use and all the semen buyers use, he should get proven pretty fast. He also really holds his condition better than I expected.

The first daughters will get bred this summer.

I don't think we was creep fed before weaning, but I can't be positive about that as we bought him from Pieper Red Angus, and I don't know what they do for sure. He was on good feed and grain between weaning and their bull sale to develope him. But he has not been fed any grain since we have had him. He will get some liquid protein and hay now.
 
So far they look good, real long bodied and stylish. His dam is a moderate, easy keeping, deep bodied cow that I really liked. I followed her around the pasture the day before I bought him, then I saw her again this past spring. I hope the daughters resemble her, which they should. These girls are a little heavier muscled, just like daddy. I think they will be easy keeping, since he is and his dam is as well. But time will tell.
 
He is an Advance 121R son and his maternal Grandsire is PIE Dinaro 9185, which eventually goes back to Glacier Divide.
