i know im really new to this board and relatively new to whole cattle buisness. but one handy tip i can share is something ive found in the millitary side of things. its a book called "Rite in the Rain". i dont work for them or get a profit or anything but ive been slowly reading alota posts on the begginers board and it seems record keeping for alota folks is just a simple pad and pen. well this pad is made of weather proof material that can get completly submerged and still write. we use it alot in the millitary becuase were in the elements. a regular black ink pen will write great on them and wont wash off. they come in alota sizes liek 3x4, 4x6, and a memo size. like i said i aint trying to advertise for them but if you keep records on just pad and paper might save ya alota heartache when you go to wash your pants. if your lookin for em just look it up in google i think memo pad is only bout 15 bucks. hope this helps someone.
