Read the article and found it to be surprisingly non-California in thought. Rings so very true especially with its final warning of what's likely to come.
Shame on you for implying this would be yet another pile of nonsense written by some liberal with no common sense. I think it's a good article and a good depiction of the way things are.

I can't even begin to imagine the percentage of people who can't tell you the difference between a dairy cow and a beef cow, let alone even seen one within 10 ft. It's so sad how disconnected society is from it's food.

Victor Davis Hansen would be a national figure in conservatism if he didn't come from here but it's hard to speak in reason and have any kind of following at all in CA. He is on our local conservative radio station from time to time speaking about a variety of subjects and is one of very few speakers (Carly Fiorina is another one) on there that I will just stop and listen to and give it my full attention.
