ranchers net

No, I thought the wind must have piled it up with the snow. Good thing there is Football on as I am not going back outside for the rest of the day.

I was wondering how everyone was doing after the big blizzard. I had to shovel a 6 foot snow drift just to get into the barn and the walk in for the basement is like 10 feet high so it can wait .My dam of merit cow is making an udder but she is not due until the 23 ,so I hope she keeps her legs crossed. ;-) Hubby is still at Fox Creek and I hope they stay put until the hi ways get a little better . That wind is horrendous ..

I am not a big football fan Per so I am actually watching Sarah Palin's Alaska, it is not too bad . Alaska sure is beautiful , that and the Yukon are on my list of places to visit, soon .

Stay warm ... :tiphat:

Yep--- I came in this afternoon- and can't get ranchers.net to come up either...

Storm created a long day today...We got 7-8 inches of new snow--but with the winds it all ended up in 3-4 foot deep drifts....Day started with having to shovel out the path to and the barn door to get in to get feed for the butcher steers...Then I got the feed truck stuck right off this morning trying to get into a stack- and called Grandma to come give me a tow... She didn't let the pickup she was driving warm up since she was going only a short distance in the yard- so had frosty windows-- didn't see the hay yard gate, drove over it, got it wrapped up under/around a wheel- and we had quite a time getting that mess undone!! Then neighbor called- he was stuck in Dickinson with the storm- and needed me to feed for him....

Got the tractor fired this afternoon- and spent the rest of the day digging out everything again....Clean yard- until the next predicted storm (Thursday) comes along ...
5 Below right now-- with the temps heading on a downhill move--still predicting 15-30 Below temps for at least the next week...

Interesting how Ranchers becomes a habitual part of one's life. My day doesn't really get going until I have pontificated a little amongst my cyber coffee buddies. So I am here imposing on the CT coffee shop being as there are several here who frequent Ranchers. Digging out from the storm will be the order of the day here so there won't be too much time to visit. Kids are going to be home from school so I have help. Life is good.
