finally getting some much needed rain last we had of any significance was in Sept
the sleet and snow we got this winter has already soaked in and dried up
have gotten 1 1/2" so far since about 10 this morning they are calling for 2-3 possible
maybe we will get a little run off to help fill the ponds back up most of them are 2-3ft low and some with cattle running to them are lower than that

Becoming a little concerning here also. We were lucky to finish 2010 ahead in moisture but since the first of the year we are 4.54" below average.
Thank the Lord, it's raining now. Good soaking showers.

We got 1.4 today. Fortunately we didn;t get any gulley washers so the 3k worth of fertilizer I put out yesterday should have stayed put

Don't know how much it rained but the creek and the river is at the top of the banks. Giving heavy rain tonight so they will be out of the banks tomorrow. Doesn't bother me much. I am 500 ft.higher on the hills.

You'd have to be in a airplane to be 500 feet above anything here.

Rained right at 1 1/2" here last night. Must have come down pretty hard because there is water everywhere this morning. We needed some rain! Hope it didn't wash all my clover seed down the creek

Overnight we got a half inch or so of snow to add to the 1.4 inches of rain from yesterday

Rain 4 to 5 inches in the last 36 hours .
I hope we see some it in July & Aug.
I got to check all water gaps this afternoon.

Jed, how do you get the water to run downhill when there is no downhill? :?: :???:
KT don't you remember him telling you about them steep graded fields
what was it they had a 1/10th of fall pr 100 ft
On a field graded on 1/10 a bump 1.2" high will back water up 100'. I like 3/10's better than 1 but I have one field thatwe had to do on .85 of 1/10. A lot of fields ov other parts of the area and just a few beside me are on 0, That's right no fall at all, completely flat.
