got a pretty strong thunderstorm last night. Got .53" of rain in about 20 minutes.

it started raining here this morning in north east texas.an when we looked at the rain gauge we had 1.6in so far.an its still raining.

I think the surprise was, for many of us, is that it actually did rain, as the forcasters predicted. Woohoo!!!!!! Over 2" here!!!

We got .2 inch....hardly enough to settle the dust...but appeciated. They say it always rains good at the end of the drought. :help:

I thought it was because I bought those 14 heifers to put on the extra :???: grass I had back in May. Relieved to know it't not my fault. :)

No, they said on the weather yesterday that we had a chance for rain. The surprise is rain in August. Lots of years we don't get any rain in August; I'm always surprised and pleased when we do.

I sure thought you'd get some from the hurricane. It's clouding up again this afternoon. I'd be glad for another 2 inches tonight. I hope you all get some soon. We all deserve it. :)

Try doing a rain dance in the pea patch. Just kiddin. Last year at this time we were dry, pasture brown, hay short and not very good. This year we are having a lot of rain, pasture green but full of weeds, can't get hay dry enought to bale. It's always something. I really hope you get some rain soon.

Yep.. same squat here. I think we have "chances" for rain this afternoon and tomorrow, but I think they just give us chances so we don't all give up. Always nice for some anticipation!
