Everybody in the state of Tennessee needs to be praying for RAIN. I am 44 years old and lived in Tn. almost all my life and I have never seen it this dry. There are creeks and ponds that are dry that I know have never been dry around the Chattanooga area.We need some relief BAD!!! Maybe it will rain this week but it doesn't look to good.

I wish I could send some of our rain to you!!! We (OKC area)got 7 inches Saturday night!!!! Roads are still closed. We were in your position last summer...be careful what you wish for--haha

Here we saw that we are only two weeks away from a drought or a flood. Since the rain and floods in June, we have been bone dry.

But their underway now! FINALLY

I live south of Shelbyville in Southern Bedford Co. We are
extremely dry here too. A lot of wells and springs have gone
dry that have never been dry before. All of the creeks are dry
and most of the ponds have either gone dry or are extremely
low. Some farmers have been feeding hay since around the
first part of July. A lot of them are also having to have water
hauled to them. I think it's costing $60 per load for 1000
gallons or so. A lot of them will probably end up having to sell
part or all of their cattle if they don't have enough hay or
can't find any to buy before winter. I'm 56 and this is the
worse I've ever seen also. No relief in sight. 100+ degrees most
every day.

Ditto to what Sir Loin said. I'm about 15-20 miles west of Nashville and we seriously have had about 1 1/2 inches of rain since May 1 07. It really is bad and we do need to pray for rain here.

I am surprised they made it thru yesterday, it is 2 hours south of me and we got rain yesterday up here. This morning we had another torrential rain along with wind. I have mud mud mud and mud. No end in sight rain is predicted for every day this week.

supposed to stay in the high 90's low 100's for the rest of the week in N Ga. maybe 20% on Sat....

We finally got some blessed rain. I was really starting to worry about the hay field. The bad thing is it hasn't stopped raining in almost a week. We got about 6 inches over the weekend, another inch Monday night, and another half inch last night, plus it's raining right now. We had a dried pond, but it's pushing capacity now, we have large puddles in low lying areas of our pasture, and the upper pond is over flowing down to the three acre pond. Now we just need some nice 75 degree days to make the grass grow.

I am just south of all of ya'll (southern term) in North Mississippi and it has not rained at my place since July 3rd.
I'm having to feed my winter hay I was storing for later.
HELP !!!!

Hello Arkowman, I live just to the east of you a little piece, north of Florence, AL. I was wondering, if you had some free time could you come over and help me pick all the ticks off of my catfish in my stock pond. :) I feel your pain!
