I am not sure what mother nature is doing to us but I had to dispatch my storm clean up crew to clear trees off of a highway that is shut down locally. This is the weather report we have now.

RICHMOND (WRIC)—The ABC 8 News StormTracker weather team is monitoring a system that brings the threat of severe thunderstorms, damaging winds and possibly even tornadoes to Central Virginia on Friday.

Clouds will roll in on Friday morning, and rain and thunderstorms will develop ahead of a cold front that will push in and through the region between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. The ABC 8 News viewing area is primarily threatened by winds in excess of 55 mph; there's a 30 percent chance the region will experience these damaging winds, and a 5 percent chance that a tornado will strike.

It will be very mild ahead of this system, with highs near 70 degrees, but falling back in the lower 50s by the evening. Skies will become partly cloudy on Friday night and it will be chilly, with lows in the middle to upper 30s.

Just goes to show how different things can be within one state! We have sun, the wind stopped, temps in high 50's. Our forecast is absolutely nothing like yours. But then again you are a bit closer to the coast and we are at the foot of the mountains to the north-east (a bit) of you.
good luck with all that.

Oh yeah, most of our snow is gone. Just a few lumps here and there.

Workinonit this weather this year is crazy yea our major snow we got disappeared the next day with the 2 inches of rain we got lol

Me and Caustic are getting ready for the hurricane we know we are going to get. If it snows here in the winter, we get a storm and usually a strong one!!

last year was very calm for hurricanes but I got a feeling this years gonna be rough

I've got a feeling you may be right. Same with houstoncutter.

Weather so far has been, w/out a doubt, a bit funky. I look for some bad storms to be here this coming summer. We are due (at least where I am) for some rip-roaring thunderstorms. Been a few years since we've had some brutal ones.

I hated them then and I continue to, as when they are here, every time there's popping and cracking coming from under the sink (where the original well is), what sounds like explosions at the creek by the barn and the hair on your neck raises. I hate it! I remember the year we had a microburst....I'd hate to see what a mega-burst would have done to this place!

So maybe we might get a little shower here and there around August?
Not really looking good for an outstanding spring here.....a lot of cold damp weather but not much in the form of rainfall.

A total of .96 for the year here. Tank is below half and if we don't get some it won't be long before I start watering via the water district. Not to mention the grass situation. :help:

well I went home after the tornado issue and apparently mother nature felt as though I needed a convertible shed and the kids swingset should lay down for a nap.
