Probably not the thread to post this. However, will get the most attention here... :)

We just saw the World's Largest Living Horse (owned by Priefert Ranch Equipment Co) at an exhibition at a Farm & Ranch store in Chldress, TX.

It is a 7 yr old Belgian Draft Horse, gelding.

He stands 19 HH + 3.5" (6' 7.5" at withers), weighs about 2400 lbs. He is in the Guinness World Record Book. He is a beautiful buckskin (?) colored horse with a blond mane. Was just standing inside the store in a special pen (he also rides in a custom built A/C trailer). Had a fan on him as well as store A/C. Just standing there half asleep, zoned out...

Just thought this was an interesting animal! Think he is larger than the Budweiser Clydesdales...

bill thats some big old horse.wich horse did they bring close to you.they are stabled about 30miles from me.scott

Interesting Bill -- Priefert must have several biggies on tour then. "Goliath" is currently on tour all over the USA and is sometimes billed as the tallest , weighs 2,200+ but he is black, not buckskin. It may be interesting to check out the Priefert site and click the tab for Texas Thunder as well as the tab for Goliath. Also on the Priefert site you can see Goliath's touring schedule for the remainder of the year as well as a number of pictures of him. OK, now I also see "Radar" on the Priefert site as well, a couple of inches taller than Goliath, and he is a buckskin.

Also, the following link may be of interest to folks that fancy draft horses. Most accounts that I've read list a Shire named "Samson" as the biggest ever, as does this site.

Yes, "Radar" is billed as the largest horse ALIVE.

We went to see him specially, then did some errands.

He was in a 12 x 12 foot Priefert Pen inside the store. There was another barrier of panels about 4 feet away from that pen to keep spectators from getting close to him. You could otherwise get within 6 to 8 feet from him. He was unphased by the spectators, cameras flashing, etc. Am sure he'd "been there done that" on his tour many times!
