I know that this has been mentioned before, but please try to stop quoting posts containing pictures and including the image in your quote. It's really time-consuming to those of us on slow dialups. We can stop loading the pic in the original post if we don't want to see it, but the pic in the quotes continues to load.

For those of you that need help, after the quote comes up in the message body, just highlight and delete the part between [img.......and......./img] before submitting.

Thanks.

BTW, this request includes you, DOC. ;-)

even if not on dial-up, there's no need to see the pics 3 or 4 times. once in the original post is sufficient.

I am on DSL and have no problems at all uploading any pictures here. We have a lot of "I am proud of my cow and here is her picture" and "should I buy this bull and here is his picture" posts and I honestly don't see how we can comment on the animal without seeing the pics. I am sorry for people who live where DSL or cable modems aren't available yet(that was me up until 2 years ago); but I like all the pics.

no one is complaining about the pics. the complaint is when people "quote" the original message with the pics & re-post the pics in their response. no need to see the same pics in someone else's response.

I agree with Txag,

I never thought twice about posting pic's because we have high speed. it does make it aggravating when people quote someone and all of the pic's are shown as well.

Been downsizing pic's lately to help those without high speed some.

I also agree with txag. I, like cypress am on hi speed DSL, but the thing that I really don't like besides the same pic several times is when the pics are to dang big to fit on the screen and then to read each post you have to scroll, sometimes as much as the distance of 3 screen width's. So I just quit reading most of what's been posted.

I can't speak for everyone, but I know I sure appreciate that. I can look at those kind of pics. Thanks, cypressfarms.

You can put a URL to go to the pics. This way they never are seen unless one wants to see them.

Texan- I feel duly chastised! Sorry. When you pass the age of 39 - you forget stuff. I have been chewed out before for this and I am sorry. I know it is a pain because I was on dial-up for some time and I found myself screaming at the monitor. I really feel bad about this. :cry2: :(

Brandon, you completely missed the point. But, you're an Auburn grad, right? ;-)

Hey, that's low there ga. prime. If you want to insult him, insult his dog, his moma, or wife, but not a fine SEC school!

Hey cypress, AU serves a great purpose and I don't mean to belittle it. After all, it's been every Ga. boy's backup school since 1856.
