Questions for Vet?

We finally have a large animal Vet in our area close enough for a farm call. She is coming out today to set me up with a vaccination program for the cattle. I want to start fresh, a couple new heifers have been added and everyone should be bred. Vet say's she loves it here, squeeze chute and everyone is halter broke.

So any good questions that you can come up with that I might have missed?

Were going to cover worming, vaccines etc.

When she's done if she has time, just sit down and chat. Offer her a cup of coffee and let the conversation wander. You would be surprised later on how that bit of personal interaction can pay dividends.

Great! Strolled around with the cows and dogs for a hour and half, discussed the deal and came up with a plan. She had it all printed out. Did a fecal sample also.

Dogs got shots and wormer. And we're doing a blood work up on the heeler that has occasional seizures.

She wanted to buy a piglet but they are all sold.

"I really enjoy your cattle, so I'll just charge you for the fecal and the dogs".
What she appreciates is when ever we have an appointment, the girls are tied up to the rail waiting for her.
