A few minutes ago I posted a quote from the Bible. It is now removed. Why? What are we afraid of? Why can anarchy be preached by not a Bible quote?

The board has a no politic no religion rule. However you can find a few threads that have been allowed to continue. If the scripture was on another topic it would be considered to be against the rules. I don't make the rules and have crossed the line several times but its plain as day on what they are.

Farmguy... what M-5 says is very true! There is a thread call "Daily Inspiration" that has been allowed to continue without any fuss (and I am very thankful for that). I would suggest that you go there to post.

That's easy! Offending people that aren't religious....or having never ending, impossible to prove debates about whose religion is right and why others are wrong.

Farmguy, for what it's worth, I really appreciated the scripture you posted and thought it was quite relevant when viewed in light of several topics on the board right now.
Reality is this: the board needs these rules to keep mood light, feelings from getting hurt, etc, etc. I suspect it goes something like this: the board owner needs advertising for revenue, advertising needs viewers. Board needs viewers. Viewers decrease when there is constant arguing, bickering, personal attacks. Board loses advertising revenue. Idk for sure. Could be the folks who put this board together, just don't want any politics or religion to keep things more relaxed.

I'm more of a proponent of "if something someone posts bothers you, just move along to something else." But not everyone can do that, and it's not my board either.

Anyway, I liked your post.

I get what your saying. I am devoutly religious. I gave up on "debating" religion years ago. As stated earlier there is a thread that is allowed to run. We tend to not debate on it, but share. Or, what I call share.

I consider myself to be religious, and it is my hope that my faith shows through in my daily life. I tend to try to avoid debating, as it can get out of hand easy when folks are passionate about their cause. I don't have to agree with everything in order to get along. That being said it was a religious topic that finally gave me the motivation to join this forum. I am also thankful, that it remained respectful.

As I posted on the other thread I've often wondered about it in conjunction with the founding of the United States.
