Question abput implants

I know this question will sound crazy, but my girls show market calves at fair. Fair starts May 21st and the market calf class is 50/50 calves 400 lbs or under. These are 50 percent dairy and 50 percent beef calves that are started from a bottle at a day old. The montbiliarde/ red swiss calves don't have the same adg, as the Holstein that they have won supreme reserve grand champion with, the past 2 years. My experience with ralgro implants, is to use them at weaning. Can you implant bottle calves at a younger age to increase feed efficiency? These are bull calves that are usually sold to feed lots. You can implant sucking calves over about 30 days of age.

It may be an off label use, but I implant every calf as soon as I can get my hands on them, and again their first trip through my chute.
