I have just spent a lot of time and money putting 40 year metal on my 100 year old Tobacco barn. We have had 10" of rain this month and the roof leaks in spots. It has old 5V metal on it and I just can't afford to replace it. I keep it coated good every 3 years with aluminized paint. I have replaced a ton of nails over the years with sealing screws. My question is, is there any particular caulk that you guys have used that holds up for awhile on a roof. I get up on the roof every few years and find the spots that leak and fix them and I'm good for a few more years. The regular black roof caulks just don't hold up. Also what do you use to coat your old roofs? I told the wife when I get all of the trim and gutters on and the roof fixed it will probably get struck by lightning and burn to the ground! Thanks Joe
