I could understand him 1/2 way decent until he said 9 yr old cow Herefordx and the Bull sounded like maybe he was
trying to say Charolais x Devon????

The sire of calves is Charolais bull. Dam is Herefordx. All calves were ~77lbs at birth.

wow, 4 of them at 77 lbs, that's a lot of baby in that belly!.. I had 2 at 110 and that was a huge cow

A couple years ago friends of ours had quad Red Angus bulls. Turned out to be pretty nice calves

Have seen triplets a few times born to dairy cows, usually not all the same sex so the females were free martins, but have never seen quads before. Neat!!!! I don't hate twins like so many farmers do, but I am willing to feed a little extra if they have twins so that the cow can make as much milk as possible for the first month or two at least to get them off to a good start. We usually have one set of twins a year but that only about 1/2 to 1 % of our total calves so pretty small number.

Cottage devon. Cottage is a breeder it seems. I just make him out for the most part, except when he gets giggly. Still a lot of irish and scot accents around these parts.
