I got my first Christmas catalog in the mail today, now I'm thinking isn't it a lil early for all that already?

Well let's see now...it's 100 degrees outside with about 60% humidity. Sort of hard to concentrate on buying coats and longjohns and putting up Christmas trees......and cutting firewood. :frowns:
 
Yeah that is pretty early.
Just yesterday I got my son an RC John Deere tractor for Christmas. So I guess I'm starting a little early. Tried to get him one last year and the local store was sold out and would not order another one.
 
I noticed that wallie world was cleaning out their lawn and garden stuff over the July 4th weekend. Yep, must be Christmas.

Any of you folks on top of the world ever wonder what Christmas would be like if it were in the summer instead of winter? Just ask the folks on the bottom of the world. Just wouldn't be the same would it.

It would be interesting, and I know folks travel to warmer climates for the Holidays. But I prefer to be home with family. We've had some pretty warm Christmas days here.

Just for curiosities sake what have been your "cold" Christmas's as far as temp and snow are concerned ????

I think for us Texas would be heading to a warmer climate.. :lol2:

yes we are pretty warm for texas.but we can have some cold christmases.the last winter we milked.our power went off an stayed off 5 days.ab had to milk with a pto generator for 10 milkings.those was some long 18 to 20hr days.i think during that time the temps stayed in the 20s for days.we was lucky to get the cows milked an tended to once a day.
