What would be a good ratio of protein, fat, and fiber? I don't want to mess up the natural balance of the gut.
There is no perfect ratio. All depend on what and why you're feeding. High fat normally means higher energy, but then so does a low fiber level. Crude protein needs to be adequate but not excessive. But, you can build a huge number of feeds with the same levels of Protein, fat and fiber and the feeds be totally different from a nutrient density perspective. I'm speaking in very broad terms but that's just the way it is. Hard if not impossible to give a simple answer because there are numerous answers for different situations.

I want to grow a bull calves out for replacements. I want to give enough nutrition to grow to the full level of nutrition, but not mess the gutt up so they cannot function on just pasture. I am having a hard time figuring out the best combination. I do not know if that is enough information.
