Does anyone know of a propane kit that will work with a fuel injected engine? I know they have them for the old regular carbs, but dont know about the ones with injectors.

All I can suggest is do a google search. I have had some experience converting a generator to run on propane and it was bad. But part of it was my own fault because I bought some of the pieces from Onan (which didn't work) and some from the after market. The two got into a pis____ match and I wound up in the middle.

Anyway, here's a link that will get you started in the right direction. Most places say they don't do injected vehicles.

yes, I used to work for a natural gas company that ran propane/regular gas on their chevy trucks.. but that was when the trucks had carbs on them and not injectors.
I will check out the web for some ideas... I just didnt know if anyone had really ran with them on an injected engine or not.
 
I did a little more thinking on this and thought that if the propane was "injected" through a plate mounted between the stock injector body and the manifold and used a demand type regulator like a Garrett it might work. I am assuming your injectors are throttle body type and not port injectors?

Anyway, just a thought.

Not sure exactly what your application is but I know that guys who race their diesel trucks use propane injection for extra HP the same way the gas motor racers use nitrous oxide. They even have kits for it. If yours is a similar application you may want to check out some of their web sites.

It still amazes me that their are guys that will spend 35-40K on a new F250, or other similar class truck and then spend another 10k modifying it for drag racing.
