My daughter graduated from Clemson about 5 years ago, and is well on her way.

My son just called, and he landed a job, a good job in his field of study. He is half way through school.

I am happy for them both, and very proud.

Had to share, or brag or whatever... I am simply happy for them.

I encourage you to brag. Brag, brag, brag all you want.

Consider, come Saturday, college football game day, you will see clip after clip of someone knocking the heII out of someone else with the accolades - Now Jim, that was a great tackle. Yes, Dan, it was. I love to see these young men work hard and get out there and give it their best.

Now consider: my son spent 12 years performing at the highest level imaginable to achieve his PhD in Cancer Cell Biology at Vanderbilt. If I didn't brag, none of the people on Cattle Today would have a clue.

Now, tell me if what he did is second string to a guy running into someone else?

CONGRATULATIONS FROM THE DEPTHS OF MY MIND!!

Congratulations HD! Clemson is a good school What did she major in?
Accounting, but she moved into IT at the SAS Institute in Cary, NC.

Both of my kids are now in IT. I have been in IT my whole career. I tried to discourage that route, but I found the best way to get my kids to do something is to tell them not to do it. My son is majoring in network security. It was a good choice with all the hackers and cyber attacks these days.
