Preplanting.

Got me some peatpots today that expand when you water. Am going to plant all my mellons this way and then transplant them. Anyone else do this? The big time mellon guys planted theirs in March and are growing them in a greenhouse.

planted 4 different kinds of seed in them this year

put 2 cucumber seeds in about 18 of them and each and every one came up :shock: - we are gonna have enough cukes for the entire country - stop by in July and August and get some!

I found the wrap kinda girdles the roots it won't kill them but does seem to stunt some. Now before I put them in the ground I wet them real well so they hold togather and clip the net down the side and pull it off.
