prego heifer question

just curious if you have a heifer/cow prego can you see the calf kick or move or can you feel the calves? one of my kids asked me today and I said I thought so but not tottally sure?

I have not done this, but some people have felt a calf kick when they "bump" them. Basically you are using your fist to feel if the cow is with calf. I think that you can do this at 4.5 to 5 mos, but like I said, have never done it so I'm not sure.

On a hot day if the cow drink cool water you can sometimes see the calf moving around on her right side. Sometimes you'll just see a strange looking knobby place poking out that moves around.

I agreed with dun. I have watched them and felt them move many times.

True but usually farther along at 7 months and do it from the cow's right side.

Yes you can feel & see the calf kick / move especially in the last 6 - 8 weeks before calving we often have visitors ask that same question, what we do is pick out a cow that is heavy in calf & let them see & feel the calf moving & yes from the right side of the cow.
